36x48 (pictured).

The one available is a floor model and has bent edges. Priced accordingly.

Printed in halftone on 24 lb bond paper using a plotter -- a large format printer mainly used to produce architectural and engineering prints. This kind of printing lends a rough and textural aesthetic to the image. It almost looks antiqued.

Halftone printing is similar to how images are produced for newspapers or magazines. Held up close, the images will look like a series of dots in various tones of grey to black but looking at it from afar, will reveal a photograph -- a really cool, graphic effect. Pieces as large as these are customarily and most comfortably viewed from at least four feet away.

Debbie Carlos was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Manila, Philippines. She has since studied psychology at Clark University in Massachusetts and photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Her photos attempt to capture objects at their moments of greatest clarity: In certain light, at a certain time of day, in a certain place. The method is to wander and notice. Moments of quiet strangeness, patterns of light and shadow, minute-by-minute surprises, changes that don’t happen, something askew, something exactly in place, natural and artificial phenomena, are all sources of inspiration, and the subjects for her work.

In addition to her fine art work, she also shoots food, travel, lifestyle and interior spaces. Her clients include MOOD, Unison Home, Seamless, Groupon, Bold Furniture, Hoosier Mama Pie, Time Out Chicago, Elle Girl Korea. She has also had the opportunity to collaborate with CB2, J.Crew, and Urban Outfitters and her work featured in numerous print and online publications.
