Designer Furniture Anyone Can Make, by William E Schremp

Copyright 1972

Published by SImon and Schuster

127 pages

Hardcover

This book is filled with simple black and white diagrams for making “today’s most fashionable cube furniture… at lumberyard prices.” It’s in very good vintage condition. The dust jacket is a little bit dirty but is protected by a plastic cover. The interior is free of marks and tears.

From the Preface:

This is a different sort of do-it-yourself book in a number of ways. Perhaps most important, it is aimed at today’s people, who not only need activity or the satisfaction of creating something with their hands; they need furniture! It will guide them through the steps of building pieces for every room of the house. Indeed, using these methods and materials, they can build virtually all the furniture in their home.

… The reader is not directed to build a sofa or bed as I happened to like it or need it but is advised to modify the designs to his own likes or needs. He can combine this basic shape with that details, build to the appropriate size, and have a truly custom piece of furniture—at lumberyard prices.
